Fighting Depression: An Overview
Depression is much, much more than just a case of the "blues". Every human being has felt "down" before; depression, however, is best described as a feeling of being "down" that lasts for an extended period of time. No one can just "snap out" of depression. Fortunately, awareness about depression and its recognition as a clinical illness have improved the attitudes that society has about being depressed.
